Marty Beard lays out five reasons Samsung's acquisition of Harman could be great for QNX

Since it was announced that Samsung would be making an aggressive push into the connected car space by way of their $8 billion acquisition auto infotainment and audio provider Harman there has been a lot of speculation around what it means for everyone else in the connected car industry and that of course includes BlackBerry's QNX.

Since it was announced that Samsung would be making an aggressive push into the connected car space by way of their $8 billion acquisition auto infotainment and audio provider Harman, there has been a lot of speculation around what it means for everyone else in the connected car industry and that of course includes, QNX, which Harman owned between 2004-2010 before selling it to BlackBerry.

As you might have guessed, a lot of that speculation speaks to how the deal could be a bad thing for QNX, but according to a new post from Chief Operating Officer at BlackBerry, Marty Beard, the acquisition 'has the potential to be excellent news for BlackBerry' and he has laid five reasons for that.
